Lentil Patties

It's been a while since I posted a recipe, but since it is Great Lent, I'm trying to take things slow.
But I really wanted to share this recipe! Those Lentil and Rice patties are so good, that my friend Victoria when tried them, thought it was made with meat:)
Here is the recipe:
Green lentils 2 cups (soaked overnight or at least 4 hours)
White (or brown) rice 1 cup cooked
Medium sweet onion
Herbs - dill, parsley or cilantro
Pinch of Nutmeg
Salt pepper to taste
Oil for cooking
Instructions:
In food processor combine together soaked lentils and onions.

Add cooked rice, herbs, salt, pepper, and a nutmeg. Mix well together using your hands.

Form round patties, pressing all the ingredients together

Carefully transfer patties to the heated oil and fry on each side 4-5 minutes. Note: do not use hight heat, rather cook them on medium-low. If you will use hight heat, patties will be cooked outside, but not inside.

Transfer to the plate and eat right away! It is really good!
P.S. I also added this amazing Trade Joe's UMAMI seasoning blend. I use it everywhere:) It adds depth to any dish!
